Centerpieces
We're planning on three different centerpieces: tall, medium, and low. We're not big on flowers so they'll be minimal. But there will be many, many candles, especially votives.
Tall centerpieces:
I love crystal trees, but they can get so expensive if you want to use a lot. My compromise is using Mitsumata branches which I ordered for about $20 from save-on-crafts.com I want to do something similar to the photo below on the right, but smaller, on 1/3 of the tables, using cylinders and gems. With white votives surrounding it. We also plan on making rather large ones to flank us on either sides at the ceremony, instead of an arch. I think the sunlight hitting the crystal strands will be very pretty.

Medium centerpieces:
This is a mock up of our medium centerpieces. I would like the petals to be more white and less ivory.
Low centerpieces:
Our caterer provides centerpieces, so we'll be using their globe vases (and maybe mirrors). I would like to do something like this, only using either a casablanca or white asiatic lily head. And votives of course.
Ceiling Drapery
Here is how ECC will be draped. It really adds to the room; makes it more romantic.
Candy buffet
We recently decided to do a candy buffet. We're collecting glass jars and vases from stores like Target, TJMaxx, and the Goodwill. Not sure where we'll get the candy. Here is what I'd like it to look like (photo from knottie stephiehall):
These will also be an element at the candy buffet. The ornaments we have are more of a matte champagne color instead of shiny gold.
They're cheap (Target after-xmas clearance! $3 for over 50 bulbs) and kind of fun!

Ugly candleholders that need some TLC
I bought these off of graveyardmall.com for a steal. But, the picture online was totally not the color they were (def. got what I paid for). They're an ugly antique bluish pewter with blue glass and blue beads. The picture showed no blue at all, only silver and clear beads. So I got a can of Krylon spray paint in Caramel Latte and some crystal beads from Michaels and hope to turn them into something I want to use. They'll go along the window ledges for a nice backdrop.
(the glitter in the pic is my attempt to cover up the blue glass at the bottom)
After my updates, I'll have spent about $25 for 15 of these. So if it doesn't work out, I won't be disappinted.
